Paintings
Working primarily in oil and cold wax medium my work is abstracted from nature and reflects my deep connection with the natural world. Taking inspiration from my local environment, I work intuitively with layers of colour, line and texture. My paintings develop through a process of ‘evolve and dissolve’. Working this way gives me the freedom to explore possibilities, to find a way through. I enjoy the liberation of not being bound by an intended outcome.

The lighthouse of the orcas

Inspired by an Argentinian movie, ‘ Lighthouse of the Orcas’. The movie is based on a true story of a lighthouse keeper in a remote area of Patogonia, his affinity with nature, in particular the Orca whales. It is a moving story about the healing power of nature, which inspired me to paint my feelings.
